Milan Metro Madness: Loneliness Edition 3

For this project, I aimed to shed light on the feeling of loneliness
and detachment experienced in large cities like Milan.

By exploring the daily commute on the Milan Metro and brought
to life the characters I encountered, through a fashion editorial style,
emphasizing the unsettling feeling of solitude.

This is the third part of a three-part series.
I added a lighthearted touch to the daily ride on the Milan Metro.

I came up with about 30 characters inspired by people I saw on my daily
commutes and divided them into three posts, titled "Strambi"
(Italian for "weird"), with a fashionable magazine feel.

The fashion industry often promotes the sad idea of uniqueness
and solitude to its consumers.
I transformed the uninteresting journey of traveling to work into
an entertaining and thought-provoking experience through storytelling.

By engaging my audience, I established a connection
that made the journey more meaningful.
The reception to the project was extremely favorable, with a significant number
of individuals identifying with the depicted characters and circumstances.
It sparked thoughts on loneliness for those who followed along.
What is the real definition of loneliness in a crowded city like Milan, where people are always surrounded by people, yet still feel a sense of disconnection and solitude?
